We are now on Day 3 of 7th grade!!! Day 1 passed by with a few hiccups, JC testing the new teachers and aide, leaving class a few times, getting on a bus to go home without me knowing, but overall was an ok first day. Day 2 passed by much better. I spoke with JC's special needs (PBI - Positive Intervention Behavior) teacher towards the end of the day. She said she thought JC was much smarter than everyone has given him credit for... "DUH" I thought. I have been trying to get the schools to work with us on his education for years, even homeschooled him several times. I think they don't like to push him, because of the way JC deals with frustration. I think they don't want to deal with that. THIS teacher this year, though.... she seems a little different. Nice, but strict! Might be good for JC to have a little more of an academic push with a teacher who is willing to push thru his frustration outbursts. So, praying along every day.... we just keep hoping for the best for JC and his schooling. If you think of us during the week, pray for him and his academics!! Thanks!
